JenesisNow- Rating Process

In this video, we will walk you through the Rating process inside JenesisNow.

First, make sure you have a profile in Jenesis for your quote. If you don’t have a profile set up, go to the top blue ribbon menu, click the Client Quick Add button, which will bring up the Client Quick Add window. In this window, fill in all the appropriate fields and click the green Save button at the bottom.

Then go to your client’s profile, scroll down to the Policies card, and here you can add a policy by clicking the plus sign in the upper-right corner of the card. Then you will need to fill in all the necessary information for the policy, making sure to put in as much information as possible to get the most accurate rate. Once all information is entered, return to the top of the page and click the orange Rate Policy button, which will take you to TurboRater. On the TurboRater page, you must go through all the questions that pop up. As a default, it will set the rating state and location to where you are logged in, but this can be changed by clicking in the field and selecting the appropriate information.

Ensure all your client’s information comes over correctly, and then any of the orange fields that appear must be filled in appropriately. Ensure the driver’s license fields are filled in along with all previous insurance information. If there is no prior insurance, then you will not have additional questions, but if there is, you will need to answer all the questions/fields and make sure to do this with additional drivers as well.

In the vehicle information below the client’s information section, enter the VIN and click the blue Vehicle Lookup button at the top. It will enter automatically fill in the rest of the fields, but make sure the coverages are correct. Then make sure to enter the Annual Miles Driven field, if it is not already entered in from your client’s profile, and then enter the Purchase Date of the vehicle/s. Once all information is filled in appropriately, click the blue Next button at the bottom right of the screen.

Depending on which Rating system you have set, additional questions will need to be answered, and then click the blue Next button at the bottom. Then the next screen, select the companies you would like to receive a Rate or Don’t Rate for this policy by clicking the circle next to your choices. After making the choices, click the green Rate Quote button below, bringing up the quote screen.

On the quote screen, if there are red Xs, this means you did not receive a quote from this carrier. If you hover over the red X, it will tell you why you didn’t receive a quote from this carrier. It could be information was left out, or more information is needed, and if this is the case, you will have to click on their company to answer additional questions. If there are green check marks, these carriers provided a quote for this policy, and then you may Bridge over to that carrier and bind coverage at the carrier level.
