Sales Representative

Jenesis Software is looking to expand its customer base nationwide and is looking for a sales professional to help make this happen. If you become our new Sales Representative, you will follow up on and identify new leads, qualify potentials customers for one of our Insurance Agency Management System products, close the sale, and stay in touch with your customers after the sale. We believe that a strong entrepreneurial style and a desire to continue relationships with our customers during and after the sales process are essential to your success.

What will your job include as a Sales Representative for Jenesis?

  • Prospecting, cold calling, qualifying and building relationships with potential new clients for Jenesis through phone calls and email correspondence. Our customers are Independent Insurance Agencies across the United States.
  • Completing demonstrations of our product via web conferencing.
  • Providing pricing and negotiating sales.
  • Completing written contracts and closing of all sales made.
  • Meeting daily, weekly, monthly goals as agreed upon by you and the Jenesis management team.


  • A minimum of 5 years experience selling software solutions to organizations with 1 to 25 employees.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both in person and via phone or web conferences.
  • A proven track record.
  • A strong technical ability. This is software sales, so computer skills and ability to learn technology quickly and proficiently is a must.
  • Experience and strong skills in taking a sale from the prospect stage to closing in up to a 3-month sales cycle.
  • Ability to independently identify, investigate and develop solutions to problems, i.e. troubleshoot
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment.
  • Ability to establish friendly, professional and cooperative relations with internal and external customers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


  • Base plus commission, residual commission after the sale – package is negotiable. We really want to come up with something that works best for us and for you.
