About Us
President & Founder / Programmer
Eddie Price - Eddie graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1988 and began his career in the insurance industry as an agent for North Carolina Farm Bureau Insurance Company. In 1991, Eddie started Carolina Insurance, an independent insurance agency, from scratch. Later he went back to school to learn computer programming and with that new knowledge, created automation for his agency. By the late 90s, he began receiving inquiries from other agencies who had heard about his software. So, inadvertently, he began to sell the system to others. He named the product Jenesis, and the company Jenesis Software, after his then five-year-old daughter, Jenna.
Both businesses continued to grow over the years. In January 2018, Eddie made the difficult decision to sell his first baby, Carolina Insurance and focus only on Jenesis Software.
Over 27 years Eddie managed, acquired and sold several agencies. Looking back, he feels his richest source of knowledge and experience has come from his Jenesis relationships. 
Vice President
Lisa Price - Lisa enjoys a little bit of accounting, human resources, marketing, communications and working with Jenesis company partners. She graduated from Elon University with a BA in Mathematics and a minor in Computer Science. She has her ACE designation (ACORD Certified Expert). Lisa worked as a Product and Operations Manager on the insurance company side for 20 years. She joined the Jenesis team in 2008. Lisa obsesses over quality and neatness and likes everything to be just so, both at work and at home. Hey, what’s wrong with that?
Director of Digital Operations & Account Management.
Colleen Lapel - Colleen brings a wealth of leadership experience from her work in marketing and merchandising for Fortune 500 and 100 companies. Now serving as VP of Operations, she is known for crafting strategic marketing plans with clearly defined objectives, timelines, and budgets. Her greatest strength lies in building strong, lasting relationships with clients and team members alike. She’s a true people person at heart, which is something we admire about her! Outside of work, Colleen enjoys gardening (indoors and out), baking, tackling home renovations, and going on daily hikes with her miniature schnauzer.
Sales Manager
Jenna Kleiber – Jenna graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in May, 2015 and began working for Carolina Insurance in Forest City, NC. In September 2016, she moved to Jenesis as an Account Manager in Sales & Marketing. In her spare time, she loves to exercise, cook, travel, read, and learn about the business from her Dad, Eddie. And, yes, Jenesis takes its name from Jenna, so of course, she is passionate about its success.
Brand & Operations Director
Abraham Pinheiro – Abe is our Agency Marketing Machine (AMM) Brand and Operations Director for JenesisDigital - part brand builder, part creative problem solver, and part “let’s make this actually work” guy. He specializes in turning ideas into polished brands, cutting through the noise, and helping bring client visions to life without losing sight of the bigger picture. Whether he's shaping strategy, refining creative direction, improving processes, or keeping projects moving, Abe brings clarity, momentum, and just the right amount of attention to detail. With a sharp eye and a practical approach, he helps brands find their voice, look the part, and show up with confidence. Outside of work, Abe is usually road-tripping, cooking something adventurous, or hanging out with his dogs, chasing good stories, better meals, and the kind of inspiration you only find off the beaten path.
Implementation Manager
Lisa Gibson – Lisa joined The Agency Advantage team in July 2015 as a software trainer and quickly demonstrated the ability to oversee many other areas of the company. She now manages Implementation for The Agency Advantage and Jenesis, as well as the Technical Support Team. Lisa has experience in project management, software training, technical support and has worked in the technology fields of finance, medical, and insurance. When away from work, Lisa volunteers with Operation Second Chance, also known as The Gwinnett Jaildog Program. This program rescues dogs, trains them, and offers them for adoption. Website Design / Digital Marketing
Phil Price - Phil is a website design and digital marketing specialist who works with small businesses to maximize sales and grow. He knows real success doesn’t come from mastering the marketing flavor of the week, but from creating real trust and connections. Phil has created innovative and award-winning work for literally hundreds of Fortune 1000 companies and their agencies and is a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill.
IT and Customer Support Manager
Jason Cooley - Jason was born and raised in Michigan and has worked extensively in IT there. With his full spectrum of experience in IT and management, Jason joined the Jenesis and Agency Advantage team in 2022. (Who wouldn't want to be a part of such an awesome support team?) Jason’s IT background ranges from hardware to network engineering and administration of networks and Windows servers. When Jason isn’t working he loves spending time with his family and dogs, going to estate sales and flea markets, and hunting down various collectibles and treasures.
JenesisNow Development Manager
Brian Parker - Brian fell in love with computers at age 9 and they've been part of his life ever since. After studying computer science and engineering, he became a customer software developer for a small office supply company before eventually finding his place at Jenesis as a JenesisNow Developer. Brian's success in that role led to his promotion to Senior JenesisNow Developer and most recently, JenesisNow Development Manager. Brian likes to learn new skills and techniques to put to use in his programming projects, so JenesisNow is a perfect fit. Brian lives in Pennsylvania and enjoys the outdoors, camping, and the snow when he is not spending time with the Jenesis team.
Executive Assistant
Misty Bayerl – With a solid foundation in administrative support for executive-level leadership and a decade of experience as a market analyst, Misty has a proven ability to anticipate needs, stay organized, and uncover valuable insights. As the executive assistant and ultimate right-hand woman to our President, Eddie Price, Misty provides communication support, coordinates meetings, manages calendars, and assists with both internal projects and customer feedback. Her curiosity and attention to detail continue to serve her well as she leads research initiatives when needed. Outside of work, Misty enjoys gardening, fishing, attending her kids’ sporting events, playing guitar, and winding down with NFL games or movie nights with her family.
Account Executive
Christy Alaimo – Christy is a licensed Property & Casualty agent and who better to show you all the features of Jenesis than a licensed agent! Before coming to Jenesis, Christy spent over 20 years using JenesisClassic as an independent insurance agent. Christy wears two hats at Jenesis..... she is a part of our Sales Team and she also does software training from time to time. Her personal use of the Jenesis products helps her to offer solutions to our customers with a knowledge and understanding of their needs. Christy also loves spending time with her family and traveling.
Account Executive
Joe Gauger – Joe was born and raised in Kansas and so it comes as no surprise that Joe is a die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fan. He graduated from Pittsburg State University with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing in 2009. Joe’s insurance background includes Property & Casualty and Medicare Supplement sales, agent licensing and carrier appointments, and agent onboarding and training. Joe loves spending time in the mountains of Colorado and enjoys skiing and playing guitar.

Steph Hynds – Steph is an Account Executive for JenesisDigital and Agency Marketing Machine (AMM), where she helps insurance agencies grow through smarter marketing, stronger relationships, and practical strategies that deliver results. She enjoys getting to know agency owners, understanding their goals, and helping them find the right solutions to move their businesses forward. A writer, adventurer, dog lover, and people person, Steph grew up exploring the West and has lived all over the country. When she’s not working with agencies, you’ll likely find her hiking, camping, enjoying a good book, or spending time with family, friends, and dogs. Her enthusiasm and genuine passion for helping others succeed make her a trusted partner to the agencies she serves.

Lee Roberts – Lee brings more than a decade of experience in sales and account management, with a strong focus on service excellence and client success. As part of the JenesisDigital and Agency Marketing Machine (AMM) team, she helps agencies grow through strategic marketing guidance, SEO-optimized websites, engaging social content, and proven best practices. Lee is a natural relationship builder with an intuitive understanding of people and how to create meaningful, lasting connections. Known for her ability to manage multiple priorities with ease, Lee combines strategic insight with a hands-on approach that helps clients feel supported, confident, and positioned for long-term success. Outside of work, Lee, based in Cape Town, South Africa, is a proud single mother raising three daughters to be independent, resilient, and loving young women. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring new places, and getting lost in a good book.

Samantha Gillion –Samantha Gillion is a relationship-driven professional who supports clients across JenesisDigital and Agency Marketing Machine (AMM). With a background in finance, account management, client success, and marketing, she enjoys building strong relationships, bringing clarity to complex projects, and helping clients move forward with confidence. She believes true confidence comes from alignment, and she carries that philosophy into every area of her life. Outside of work, Samantha enjoys spending time with her family, growing in her faith, and prioritizing fitness and wellness. Samantha is also the author of Love Says and the founder of the Edify Her Initiative, a mission dedicated to helping young people discover their identity, worth, and confidence through the love of Christ. Through the initiative, she works to place copies of her book into the hands of young people at no cost, creating opportunities for encouragement, growth, and transformation. Her passion for empowering women and young girls is at the heart of everything she does.

Carolina Gomes – Carolina Gomes is an Account Manager with JenesisDigital and Agency Marketing Machine (AMM) who loves helping agencies bring their vision to life. She enjoys building strong relationships with her agents and believes the better she understands their goals, the better she can help them succeed. When she's not working with clients, you'll likely find Carolina in her garden or tackling a creative DIY project. And when adventure calls, she's often dancing the day and night away at a music festival. Her energy, creativity, and genuine passion for helping others make her a favorite partner for the agencies she serves.
Software Trainer / Insurance Agent
Terri Laurant-Reno - Terri is an alumna of Xavier University of Louisiana, holding a bachelor's degree in Mass Communication. She is a licensed Property and Casualty, Life, and Health insurance agent in both Louisiana and Texas. Terri's insurance career began at the ALLSTATE regional claims office in Louisiana. She transitioned from claims to agency sales/producer roles at State Farm, eventually moving into management and then to an independent agency. Her passion for the industry and helping others has led her to her current role as a Software Trainer. In her leisure time, she loves traveling with her husband, visiting their sons, and enjoying outdoor activities with their 160-pound furry companion.
Software Trainer / Insurance Agent
Allie Bridges - Allie is a licensed insurance agent with licenses in Property, Casualty, Life, and Health insurance across both North and South Carolina. Allie enjoys helping others learn new skills and grow in their roles. She brings a strong background in client service and communication. Originally from Forest City, NC, Allie earned her degree in Psychology from Western Carolina University in 2019. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
Operations Coordinator
Cindy Watts - With 25 years of experience in the SaaS industry, Cindy brings a strong background in customer support, project management, training, and administrative operations—all focused on helping users successfully adopt and navigate technology with confidence. A significant portion of her career was spent with Jenesis Software, where she supported software implementations, led client training initiatives, and contributed valuable industry insight as a licensed insurance agent. Cindy is known for combining patience, problem-solving, and a people-first mindset to help customers feel supported every step of the way. Outside of work, Cindy is a proud cat mom to four cats and loves spending time outdoors, enjoying nature, and being with her family. Each year, she devotes several months to creating an over-the-top Halloween display for her community—a creative passion that blends planning, resourcefulness, and a whole lot of fun.
Senior Customer Support Specialist
Benny Kiser - Benny is the local technical support expert. More than likely, you will talk to him if you call in for support. He is witty, charming, and armed with a lucrative knowledge of the workings of Jenesis. This network technician is happy to assist you. Benny has a Bachelors Degree in Information Systems and a Minor in Cyber Security. His knowledge is great to know for our Jenesis customers. The education he has received blends excellently with his already superior technical know how. This helps him deliver quality customer service to all our awesome agencies that use Jenesis.
Senior Customer Support Specialist
Adam Tessener - Adam is a member of the Jenesis Tech Support Phone Team. So when you call, he will likely be who you will meet. Adam was a licensed North Carolina Property & Casualty agent and has used Jenesis Software as an agent. This gives him first-hand experience and from the same perspective as our Jenesis customers. He also has extensive experience with hardware, software support and networking. Adam began tinkering with computers at the age of 7, and a few years later, he actually began working with Chuck Haynes, a former member of the Jenesis team. When not helping customers make the most of Jenesis, Adam can be found in the gym, traveling, or studying the latest computer hardware and software.
Senior Customer Support Specialist
Eric Villarreal - Eric acquired an interest in computers over 20 years ago where he began repairing teacher’s computers between classes in high school. He went on to pursue this IT path joining a trade school and receiving his A+ along with several Microsoft certifications. Eric has worked at Agency Advantage for over 5 years as a support technician but also transitioned into a server administrator and more recently into software development. He was previously employed with Dell Software and ScriptLogic as a support representative. Aside from IT, Eric has delved into several professions that include being a music producer, photographer, video editor/content creator. Most of all, Eric enjoys spending time with his family.
Senior Customer Support Specialist
Andy Barefoot - Andy is a veteran of the US Army with twenty years experience in the IT field. He is responsible for technical support of the legacy Agency Advantage product and working with customers to ensure they get the most use from their management system. His past experience includes software, hardware and network support for pathology laboratory management systems and accounting management systems. Andy holds A+, Net+, and Microsoft certifications. He is married with three sons and one very stubborn coonhound.
Customer Support Specialist
Richard Paisley - Richard is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran with a strong background in electronics and IT support. After retiring from active duty, he earned his Associate’s degree in Information Technologies and Network Management—and he’s been passionate about exploring new technologies ever since. He joined Jenesis to continue helping people by providing reliable technical support and smart solutions. Outside of work, Richard enjoys college football (especially cheering on the Buckeyes!), relaxing at the beach, and spending quality time with his family.
Senior JenesisNow Developer
Derek Honeycutt – Derek started teaching himself to program at the age of 12. He has lots of experience in developing desktop, mobile, and website software in over 15 different programming languages. Programming is still one of his biggest passions! Derek started with Jenesis Software in January of 2018 splitting his time between providing technical support for our customers and programming on the web product, JenesisNow. Derek is now a full-time developer and an integral part of all things technical at Jenesis. In his spare time, Derek is an amateur no-limit hold'em card player, enjoys making music, and spending time with his family and his MANY pets.
JenesisNow Developer / Author Ordinaire
Tim Caviness - Tim has been programming since he got his first computer (a Texas Instruments 99/4a) at the age of twelve. He received his BS in Computer Science from UNC Greensboro and has earned his ACE accreditation. But he's not just a normal geek, he's worn many hats: radio deejay, graphics modeler, event manager, voice-over artist, CFO, and entrepreneur. He's also an award-winning author, editor, and publisher (as Ross Cavins), and is currently working on several books. Oh, and he's leading the effort to bring Jenesis into the web world too. He drinks lots of coffee and rarely takes breaks.
JenesisNow Developer
William Galindo - William, a University of Texas at San Antonio alumnus with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, has found his calling as a JenesisNow Developer in San Diego, CA. A proud veteran, William's path in computer science began shortly after his service in the US Marines, where he gained invaluable skills in teamwork and problem-solving. At Jenesis, his role involves collaborating with a dynamic team, contributing significantly to future enhancements of the JenesisNow software. Outside of work, William is a family-oriented man, often spotted playing soccer with his kids or exploring the virtual world of Roblox games with them.
Web Developer
Mac Matza – Mac, aka our web wizard, is focused on building and maintaining websites from front to back. He creates custom sites, manages hosting environments, and troubleshoots website issues with ease. Fluent in code and problem-solving, Mac is the go-to person for web-related challenges. For fun, Mac enjoys PC gaming, going to car shows, working on cars (particularly his Subaru), camping, golfing, fishing, visiting breweries, and having movie/TV nights with his wife.
Application Developer
Diego Maeda– Diego is a software developer for JenesisDigital and Agency Marketing Machine (AMM), where he turns complex challenges into clean, creative solutions. Whether he's building new features, solving tricky problems, or finding smarter ways to make technology work, Diego loves the puzzle-solving side of development. His versatility, technical expertise, and willingness to jump into just about any project make him a go-to member of the team. When he's not behind a keyboard, you'll probably find Diego on the jiu-jitsu mat, in the gym chasing his next goal, or hanging out with his dog. No matter what he's doing, he brings the same focus, determination, and positive attitude that make him such a valuable part of the JenesisDigital and AMM family.

Ronell Stewart – Ronell is an SEO Strategist who has delivered page one results across industries ranging from home services and hotels to attorneys, surgeons, SaaS, and even tamper proof soap dispensers for correctional facilities. At JenesisDigital, Ronell ensures every client website is fully optimized to generate consistent leads and sales, combining proven strategies with a results-driven approach. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling the world with his family. His recent trips include Iceland, Turks and Caicos, Barbados, and Saint Lucia. In his downtime, he enjoys kayak fishing and challenging hikes.
Content Manager
Lareina Taing – Lareina is the voice behind the magic. She crafts and refines messaging for a wide range of platforms, including websites, blogs, emails, and more. Known for her attention to quality and consistency, Lareina is also skilled in implementing SEO best practices across all forms of content. Outside of the office, she enjoys going to concerts, mountain hiking, trying new restaurants, shopping at Costco for the best bargains, and spending time with her fiancé and their pup.

Pedro Gonzalez – Pedro is a digital marketing specialist with JenesisDigital and Agency Marketing Machine (AMM), where he helps agencies get noticed, get found, and grow their business online. Whether he's crafting social media strategies, improving SEO, or finding creative ways to boost engagement, Pedro loves turning ideas into results and helping brands shine in a crowded digital world. When he's off the clock, Pedro is usually working on his next personal best—whether that's in the gym, in the pages of a great book, or around the dinner table with family and friends. He's a big believer in growth, good conversations, and making time for the people who matter most. With a mix of creativity, determination, and positive energy, Pedro brings the same enthusiasm to his clients' success as he does to his own goals.

Andrea Jop – Andrea is a graphic designer with JenesisDigital and Agency Marketing Machine (AMM) who loves bringing brands to life through thoughtful, eye-catching design. From social media graphics to branding and logo creation, she combines creativity, curiosity, and strategy to craft visuals that connect and leave a lasting impression. Always exploring new design trends and fresh ideas, Andrea enjoys pushing her work beyond the expected and finding unique ways to tell a brand's story. Living in Guatemala, Andrea draws inspiration from traveling, meaningful moments with family and her dogs, and art in all its forms. When she's not designing, she's often exploring a new destination, diving into a great book, discovering new foods, or enjoying a favorite film. As a traveler, art-maker, and experience collector, she's constantly seeking new perspectives that fuel both her creativity and her work.

Julie Luck – With design skills built into her DNA, Julie’s decades of experience help her to excel in every project she touches. In her current role, she utilizes her artistic talent to create impactful designs that evoke emotions. As a proud Minnesotan, Julie enjoys hunting, fishing, and showing her English Setters in dog competitions.
JenesisClassic Developer
Nelson Francisco – Nelson has been developing for over 20 years with a background within the retail, pharmaceutical, education and healthcare industry. From New York to Chicago and now residing in Michigan, Nelson is currently pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Database Administration which will be completed by mid-2021. Nelson has been with Jenesis a little over 3 years (which he loves) and has gained extensive knowledge about the insurance business. During his downtime, he plays golf in the spring and summer and bowls in fall and winter.
Customer QA Consultant
Donald Duck - Donald Duck is our oldest employee here at Jenesis Software. He is an amazing 78 years old! Donald maintains an active lifestyle. Much of his longevity comes from his rigorous swimming exercise routine he performs at the local Isothermal Community College pond. Donald began his tenure here at Jenesis in the Testing Department. He served as a test specimen during the early days of programming what later became the Jenesis Insurance Agency Management System.
