Jenesis Management System Owners See the Value of Automation Through "Agency Eyes"
August 15, 2007 - Forest City, NC Not too long ago, Eddie Price, the president and CEO of Carolina Insurance Solutions, Inc was busy writing insurance policies for clients in and around his small, rural Western NC community of Forest City, NC. At that time, this Rutherford County native believed in the theory that "if you build it, and provide good service, they will come." Well, they came indeed and it didn't take long for Carolina Insurance Services, Inc to be one of the largest independent agencies in the region.
Price says selling and servicing insurance policies of all types to multiple customers, issued by various independent companies, seemed chaotic at times when compared to a captive market where you only represent one company. "An independent agent owns the advantage of representing multiple companies however, if he can't manage the business, it works against him." In order to keep organized and become more efficient, Price created his own agency management software solution to use in his agency. Word of this new management solution, created by an agent, for an agent, quickly spread and within a few years, Price had over 100 new agency customers. "It's amazing how popular the system has become," says Price. "I would have never thought that within a few years, we'd have literally hundreds of customers. I think more and more independent agents are realizing that in order to survive, they must have a management system to help keep things in order".
Agency owners who use the program say the reason for the success of the software is because the Developers are in fact insurance agents. Joy Harrill, Director of Customer Service and Training for the system says she hears that comment all the time. Harrill says, "our customers ask repeatedly if an agent created the program. What they don't realize is that "our agents" in our company owned agencies still suggest and test enhancements today! This definitely has given us an advantage over other management vendors in the marketplace. We simply understand what an independent agent needs to better serve their customer".
